Wowpass for Convenient Transactions
In Korea, most transactions are conducted through methods such as credit cards and debit cards. This preference for card payments extends from grocery stores, supermarkets, and tourist attractions to convenience stores and even small local shops. While credit cards issued from countries outside Korea are accepted, utilizing Wowpass for payments can provide various benefits such as discounts and savings on foreign transaction fees. (Some traditional markets may require cash payments!!)
wowpass with Tmoney (Transit card)
Wowpass comes with an embedded Tmoney function, allowing it to be used as a Tmoney card. Tmoney is a prepaid card that serves as a transit card in Korea, usable for most buses, subways, express buses, taxis, and at some convenience stores and other shops within South Korea. Please note that the balances of Wowpass and Tmoney are not interchangeable.
wowpass mobile App
The Wowpass card app is used by users to conveniently manage their cards and enjoy various benefits. Through this app, you can register cards, check discount benefits, participate in events, check rewards, and view payment records. And in case of losing the physical card, you can easily request a reissue through mobile app authentication.
wowpass for Exchange money
At locations where Wowpass exchange kiosks are available, you can use your Wowpass card to exchange currency through the kiosk. These kiosks are situated in various places such as airports, train stations, and subway stations, facilitating convenient currency exchange. Although the exchange rate may not be as favorable as at currency exchange centers commonly found in areas like Myeongdong, the convenience they offer is significant. However, it’s important to note that while most kiosks support the purchase of Korean won, not all of them support the sale of Korean won, so it’s advisable to confirm this beforehand.
